turn the ignition on.....
push star(marked)twice blank side once then star again and hold it until U hear a siren(chirp) and the LED goes solid red Same process to take it out of valet mode |

>< okay now i have another problem.... this all started when i came outside to my car and tried to turn it on... andnothin happened.. no starter turn over so i thought my battery was dead. took my bat out hooked it up to a charger and it was fine... almost full. I cleaned off the connectors that hook to the battery they need to be cleaned ^^. i hooked everything back up and the engine started :D yeah...!!! then i put the car in valet mode and went into my house. i came back out about an hour later and now the car doesn't do anything again... i clean the contacts again with some better sandpaper. and hooked it all up and now when i try and start the car all that happens is my starter spins.. or what i believe is the starter... something going click clikc click fast. any knowledge on this situation would be appreciated

It sounds Like the alarm is going off But ..........Only the parking light relay is working???? B/C the clicking sound? Do You Have a siren hooked up to the alarm? Make sure the alarm is in valet mode.......(LED stays on),This Is a very common problem w/clifford alarms(when they go bad), Try reseting the Alarm......"disconnect the negative battery terminal Under the hood 4 about 5 minutes......Then try to start the car again.................Or if U can find the alarm(brain) under the dash Just umplug it......Does the alarm responds to the remote?
Try the reset first and reprogram the remote(if it does'nt respond) |
okay. i re-unplugged everything and sanded some more hooked it back up took a volt meter to my battery and it read 12.0volts then when i turned my car ignition to on it dropped to 10volts and my pfc inside said 9.8v. the car still clicks the starter.as if it does'nt have enough power to turn the engine over...
if u mean siren as in a loud ass alarm when it goes off yes i do. umm the alarm doesn't seem to be going off.. yes the remote works with it... well at least the blue button works :D dont know about the others.... i'm scared of the fuckin alarm... so mother f--ckin loud... Do u think i should unplug the brian... will this be labled as anything under my dash? |
If you are getting those voltage readings ,your battery is bad or not charged! And if You want to unplug the brain.....You should be able to see it under the dash /is not labeled but its pretty obvios(or you might be able to read (clifford) on it......Just unplug the power plug (white) plug w/ most of the wires coming out of it) some alarms have two white plugs/ if so unplug both they are about the same size. But it sounds like your battery is bad........So i will recommend you try another battery first
