Checklist before going to dyno
Going to dyno.
I have to trailer the car - and the worse scenario is if: What advice you can give me before going to dyno? I don't want to end up trailing the car back without attaining the mapping, having problem or issue that might arise here and there during dyno. So far the car is sound but who knows..... something I overlooked or simple stuff that will fail due to my carelessness. Single turbo conversion/PowerFC Thanks |
Good clamps on all hoses under pressure. Good ignition, plugs and proper working fuel system. Have you gotten into boost at all?
|
Well, I can't hit the car hard 'cause the map is just basic or initial map...but it's boosting when i hit it once behind my back road.
I check and check the hoses...replaced the fuel pump using denso - has initial pressure of 40 psi |
Fresh plugs before you get on the dyno. Not 100 mile plugs, not 50 mile plugs. Brand new out of the box. verify your boost controller is working (its reading right and the solenoid functions), fill the tank up with premium. and don't panic while its on their. these guys generally know what theyre doing.

Thanks boosted ---i installed a sets of fresh plug (new). Put half a gallon 93 octane.
|
Take another new set of plugs with you too
|
half a GALLON of 93? I went through half a tank in 23 pulls (altho im probably more horsepower)
|
Only a half gallon? I'd put much more in the tank
|
hah i'm gonna agree with ^^ you dont know howmany pulls they will do , and last thing you need is to fuel starv half way through a pull . have plenty of gas in there . and bring some new plugs just incase . als o RE CHECK EVERY SINGLE CLAMP , and specially the vacume hoses to the map sensor, dont overlook them , make sure they are all on there and have some sort of clamp or tie wrap or something keeping them on
