I have a 93 RX7 that I recently changed the fuel pulsation damper, and did a vaccum hose job? When I got it all back together the car will pretty much die and not accelerate if I give it more than 1/4 a throttle. I have double checked the vaccum hose many times. I changed plugs and plug wires, i checked to make sure it was getting fuel from the tank and all that checked out to be fine. The has no codes or anything. Do you guys have any ideas for me because I am lost?

My buddy and I did all the work on it. He is a very reputable mechanic on 3rd Gens and we are both stumped. So we are trying to get some more ideas. Any else you think we could check out that we might be missing. Thanks

is fuel pressure ok,why did you change the damper ??
is it leaking fuel anywhere??
is youre tps connected ,is youre fpr working properly ??

The fuel pulsation oring was trashed on it and the car smelled like fuel, know that is gone. I have checked the TPS for the correct voltage and it checks out fine. I have not checked the fuel pressure regulator. Is there a good way to check and see if it is functioning properly.

put a gauge on it and check ,it sould rise fuel press as manifold vac decreases, when you get in boost it should not drop, also check for visible signs of leaking ,or vacuum leaks to the regulator, if fuel press is dropping it could be a faulty regulator ,or pump

I will give that a try. Is it common for the fuel pressure regulator to go bad. Thanks
