check engine light on..... OMP
 

So I was driving one day and going down a straight away, I had just got my car back from the shop the day before. I was in second gear and I revved up to 6.5k rpm. When I let off, the check engine light came on and it was put into limp mode. Do you guys think it could just be the sensor connection, or the actual oil metering pump?

I did the CEL code thing and the flashes were two long ones. That means it's the oil metering pump, right? thanks agian.

Specifically it's the OMP position sensor....but that's integral with the OMP assembly. If you haven't done so, reset your ECU and go for another drive with some WOT pulls. If it comes on again this and the FSM (which refers to it as the "Metering Oil Pump" might help:

So it wasn't the actual omp, it was the wire connection. One of the belts cut through the wires and there for, made my check engine light come on and put my car into limp mode. God that was hell..... I fixed it and now it's running cherry. Knock on Wood!
Oh and for the peeps that are gonna try and do this on your own, get your asprin out cause it'll give you a head ache..... But I would also recommend to use air tools, if you have them. If you don't, just be patient.
