Check Engine Flickers
I do not have an airpump on my FD so I had the raise the idle from 750 to around 950-1000rpm to keep it from stalling when putting the clutch in quickly or turing the a/c , fans, rolling windows down etc.
I do not know if this is a relationship between the check engine light and the idle, but whenever my car first starts up and the idle is higher, like around 1500, the check engine light will flicker a few times in sync with the rpms...if I flip a fan switch on and the idle drops down to below 1000, the flickering goes away. Is this just the TPS or ICS getting mad because of the raised idle screw or is it something to do with my ignition system? |
Where did you make the adjustment? On the TPS or the Air Bleed Screw? Its possible that the voltage range might be out of range. Try to pull some codes and see what you get. Good luck.

bleed screw. never touched the tps.
Only does this at COLD startup. My engine always runs really really rediculously rich at cold start unless I pull fuel...i dont know why...it goes back to normal AFR at 140F. During this time period it seems to misfire from the mixture and this is when the light flickers every time it "misses" it seems like |
what ecu are you using?. if its the pfc it may be the knock sensor flashing the check engine light showing heavy knock and a danger to your motor . get it checked asap!
