Changing Brake Fluid Help?
 

I am changing the brake fluid and have a question. I am upgrading to super blue dot 4. I have no idea what is in there now, probably some crap a dealship put in there. Should I bleed all the exisiting fluid until its dry and then add the new fluid or should I add the new fluid slowly to the resevior as the old stuff bleeds out? I am worried about mixing unlike types of fluid together.

You really need to learn how to bleed brakes before you go anyfurther and screw yourself up.

easy now, I have bled brakes before, just never flushed the whole system before. Just asking for some advice is all. My real concern was just mixing different types of fluids.

Just remove as much old brake fluid as possible from the reservoir, then add the Superblue and bleed the right rear caliper till you have dark blue fluid coming out and no bubbles. Then proceed to the left rear, then front right, then front left doing the same thing, refilling the reservoir as needed. You've got a whole can of Superblue, so you might as well try to use most of it up. Remember to bleed the clutch slave cylinder as well, since the FD uses a single reservoir for both the brakes and clutch. If you have Speedbleeders, you don't want to let the reservoir go dry, as they don't work with lots of air in the lines.
