Centerforce dual friction holding force
Hey guys, i have searched the forum for info on this but have found none. Their website doesn't say anything about how much torque and hp this will hold. I'm going to a gt35r here in the next couple of months and when i took my transmission off i found a brand new centerforce dual friction clutch. I'm wondering if i can use it or if i should sell it. I'm going to have it set for about a 300hp street tune and around a 400hp track tune. Do you guys think that this clutch will hold? Thanks guys!

clutch
I have a well built engine 67mm turbo im at 328@10psi same duel friction clutch no problems, im going to retune so i hit 400whp or so i think it will hold fine

had my centerforce dual for about 4 years now and its still in really good condition, i was probably making about 280-300rwhp.

It should hold even under the condition of your track tune, but if you go a lot over 400 you're looking into getting a twin disc set up

I was making slighly under 500 on pump gas and had no clutch slippage at all with an act 6 puck unsprung.

clutches hold torque... not horspower... and gernerally a 13B thats is 400rwhp is at 330tq..... which a strong single plate should hold prefectly fine.. for a long time with no slipping.
even at 500rwhp...... your going to be gettin a probable max of 400rwtq.... so keep that in mind.... just look at all the dynos and youl see what i mean. correct me if im wrong |
You're right. It is rated at torque.
