i work on semi-trucks and inspect drive-line components all day long. . . i have NEVER seen a carbon fiber drive shaft on ANY big truck that comes through my shop. ever changed a u-joint on one?. . . hell it takes 2 of us get the damn thing out and back in again. . . dont know about that one, buddy. . .

Come to think of it, I've never heard of carbon driveshafts being used on semis, either...

Regardless, my last statement could be applied to any case where carbon is used successfully in manufacturing, whether it is actually used on trucks or not.

i dont disagree with you digdug. . . carbon fiber is a great material. manufacturers just dont see any point in letting that kind of money go when building those trucks. . .
