Car won't start... then starts on first crank few days later
This started when the weather got cold (30-50 degrees), don't know if that has anything to do with it. Engine would spin but it seems like no fuel is getting to the engine. And when I get it to start again few days later if I let it sit more than 12 hours without driving, it wouldn't start again. And I just leave it alone for about 2 to 3 days then is magically starts on the first try ??? One other problem is that the car emits a light fuel smell when under boost. Maybe there's a leak in the system, I've changed fuel filter so the system shouldn't be clogged. Please help it sucks having to get rides from friends.

Would it help if you tap on the accelerator pedal when you begin to start?
|
nope not at all

fuel smell might be a pulsation dampaner.
tired compression might lead to flooding. also the colder the more fuel the ecu puts in due to the larger amount of oxygen per volume of air. It's a fuel related problem amplified by the cold weather i think. there are way to unflood that are pretty simple. lots of posts on that |
ok I'll try unflooding it next time it wont start and see what happends thanks

I would get your compression checked.
