Car wont start after being stored for the winter

I have a 1993 mazda rx7 type r jdm. It has 80000kms and is the original engine. It has a fmic, bov, koyo rad, downpipe, exhaust, aem intake. The rest is basically stock.

I went to start it after being stored for the winter and it would not start. when i turn the key to the on position i cannot hear the fuel pump prime. However when i crank the engine over there is fuel going to the engine. I pulled a spark plug and there was spark.

It doesnt even really sound like its trying to start. like the engine is turning over but it feels like there is no ignition.
Im confused and could use some advice. Thanks

oh and should there be voltage at the coil connectors when the key is in the on position?

How many months did the car sit? You could have bad gas.

I live in edmonton alberta, so it sat for about 5-6 months. I ran it almost dry, and then added new fuel to it before trying to start it up.

Also i just found a loose ground that is attached to the power steering pump stud. Would that cause the vehicle not to start? I kinda doubt it.

what does it mean when you cannot hear the fuel pump prime with the key in the on position. but when i pull off the fuel hose and crank the engine, there is fuel flowing through it?

Check the plugs, this isn't uncommon. I believe the solution is to crank it a few times with them out. Put the plugs back in typically with new plugs. Should fire expect lots of smoke, should taper off run normal afterwards. I would search the forum for clearing a flooded engine just to make the solution is correct.

Ya i did the unflooding procedure yesterday and it started right up. That blows my mind cause i had the plugs out for 2 days and i assumed anything in the cylinders would evaporate out. Well that was 2 weeks of work for a very easy fix. Thanks
