Car won't start!!!

I tried to start my car trying to leave work today and it won't start. It cranks over but it sounds like no fuel is getting to it....idk. I try starting it a few times and leave it alone but leave the key in accessory and I hear a buzzing sound coming from under the UIM. The car ran perfectly and started perfectly earlier this morning so I'm really confused as what it could be. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

check all of the spark plug wires, mine did this 2 weeks ago and it turned out one of the front leading sparkplugs wires came unplugged.

car ran perfect in the morning also.

unfortunately after i figured it out my car was already flooded, so i had to pull the plugs.

if its not that, check all fuses inside the car. and all the fuses under hood including 30amp. make sure your fuel pump is working, just put your ear in the fuel tank when you turn key, you will here a buzzing sound. and make sure battery is alive.

other than that does the car crank??? or what does it do?

good luck I know how it feels and so do half the members on this forum!!!

Thanks....the car turns over but doesn't start.....it has more then enough battery power. Is there anyway that it could be pushed started...if not I'm going to have to get if towed from my work.

go ahead and try to push start it, if its manual. if not ur screwed.

before i tell you how. when you try and start it, does the exhaust smell like a bunch of fuel??? if so ur flooded.

turn key on. push car as fast as you can, 7-12mph+ push clutch in put it in first. and drop clutch. fast. and give gas at same time. like ur just switching gears.

good luck  https://www.rx7club.com/newreply.php...e=1&p=6400761#

Thanks...I will try push starting it (manual....the only way to go lol) hopefully this will work. I won't be able to tell until I get back to my job later tonight to do this. Thanks

After taking apart the entire UIM, throttle body, and elbow....I finally decided to check my spark plugs....they look like crap, one of the leading plugs had an assload of I guess carbon build up. I haven't put my car back together yet but I assume this might be the culprit (hoping and praying). I'll post pics later on of the old spark plugs.

I tried starting the car after I changed the plugs....same problem. I still hear the buzzing and I found out its from the ISC...if this malfunctioned, could this affect the car starting? I'm using a Power FC, if I reset this would that help? Anymore suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure its my fuel pump. I took the pump out the tank and connected again. When I put the car on accessory to hear the fuel pump....no sound at all, my ear was literally up on the actual pump...nothing. I also must say when I was disconnecting the fuel lines from the pump the lines didn't have fuel in them. This has to be the problem...this just gives me an excuse to buy a walboro 255 :D Anymore input would be appreciated.

my car is doing the same thing now. i think maybe the buzzing sound is coming from either the fuel pressure regulator of the ignition. simply because either of those can give out without warning. i guess its time to replace them both with after-market...but i don't know. maybe someone else has a better suggestion

yeah i had the same problem with my 626 v6 a few months ago. my fuel pressure regulator went to hell for no reason. my car wouldnt start and once it was replaced the car ran really nice. now im getting more problems like a whinning belt or pully. idk what one it is but ive learned that the madza fuel systems arent that tough. prolly one reason why mazdas dont last long.

if you have a seperate relay modified to provide the fuel pump addequate voltage required, that's the culprit.
the relay must be grounded. if the ground wire came off, your fuel pumps are not running.

intermitent failures showed the cable is partially connected.
check that. it's some sort of grounding of the ECU also can affect that.

Problem has been solved....it was a blown fuse and bad fuel pump. All the fuel was evaporated from the lines so it took a while to start....but it did!!!! Thanks for all the help guys...the FD is finally back on the road and better then ever.
