Car running extremely rich...Can't find out why...

First of all, I live in Peru and having an FD here is not so smart, but I can't help myself since I love these cars...we don't have rotary speciallists as you guys do, so finding a mechanical problem here takes forever...I need your help!

My FD always has burned lots of fuel since I bought it (pretty normal on FD's, right?), but lately was getting even worse.

The oil starts smelling like gasoline at only 200 miles of use...My mechanic has tried to find out what's wrong with it with no luck.

Here's what we have done so far:

- Check MAP
- Check O2 sensor
- Check connectors
- Check fuel pressure
- Check TPS

Also, the injectors are brand new (less than 500 miles).

What other stuff may be causing this problem??

Any help/suggestion would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

We need a full list of engine related modifications.

I only have this:
Intake
Catback
FMIC

Here's a pic of the engine...I deleted the air pump and manual boost controller since that pic was taken.

What type of aftermarket computer are you running ?

Have you tuned your car lately ?

Running rich will burn lots of fuel / oil but at least you wont blow your engine .

Your car is Muy buineta

Have you checked your ignition system? Plugs, wires, coils?

See if you can barrow a wideband O2 detector from someone. Find out what your AFR's are to see if you really are running rich or if it's another problem.

I have stock ECU...What makes me worry about the fuel is blowing up the engine actually...My oil smells like gas and that's not good for motor lubrication!

Thanks for the comment!

^ once you figure out what it is please update us. I'm really curious as to why your oil smells like gas.

Plugs are brand new (less than 500 miles as my injectors).
Wires and coils are OK.

My mechanic checked the AFR's but not using a WB sensor and it was running rich...Even by smelling the exhaust gases is easy to note a strong smell of gas.

I'm going to try to get a wideband O2 sensor to have a more accurate AFR.

Thanks!

I will...I was searching for gas smell on oil and it's not a weird issue on rotaries, but mine is definitely not normal since it starts smelling like gasoline at only 200 miles of use.

Even the oil gets dark and thin with not much use.

Main wiring harness to your injectors? Possibly a short causing an injector to stay open?

Thanks for the suggestion...Actually me and my mechanic were talking about that posibility.
I really hope that's the problem and finally fix it...Can't wait to drive my FD again!
