Car Cover Fit Question
I'm looking at covers - and from my searching I've found a couple of great sources. Seeing as I don't have a lot of cash I'm tempted to get a universal cover.
Why should I spend the extra hundred bucks for an OEM or FD-specific cover? Has anyone had a universal and not liked it? Dave |
It doesn't matter what brand it is, if it fits right. I had a universal on my FB. It was fine.

what brand of cover fits on a fd?
|
I have a generic cover made of the technolon fabric (evolution 4). It blocks all rain and moisture well. It's just a tad thicker than Noah. It was about $99 at local auto parts store.
It fits perfectly except some slack around the sides of the rear hatch. It's about 1 inch of space so it's not that bad. If you live in a pretty windy area, I would look into a custom cover. Otherwise, universal is fine as long as you get the good fabric. |

I have a California Car Cover and they make one that specifically fits your FD. You can call them and tell them if you have a Front or Rear Spoiler or both and they make it to fit specifically to that spec. I have one that I think is called the Noah and it is awesome. It is weatherproof but breaths very well. I have used mine for 2 years now with no problems. The only prob is that you have to wash it in a front mount washer as to not get it caught on the agitator. That being said it was a worthwhile investment. You can even lock it on if you want.

They custom fit the cover like no one else and the cover comes in so many different materials to suit whatever the common weather conditions in your area are. |
