In car camera mounting? Need some pics please.

I received a video camera a little while ago from my parents. Anyways, I'd love to see how you guy mount them in your cars. I don't mind making something to fit inside the car, but would like to see everyones mounts.

Thanks, CJ

If you look around..they have some REALLY nice in-camera mounts for track driving that you can get..they're not too expensive.

They're like really big suction cups with a small mount on them that you can attach your camera to. They work great, espescially on track days.

I'll search around for some...

Found it...this is the mount a friend had..it's called the Hamas Universal Video Camera Mount, and it worked REALLY WELL at the track...

This one has instructions for a do-it-yourself mount..which is MUCH cheaper...

I hope this helps...

If you don't have a roll bar, you can mount a camera on the rear strut tower bar. It is squishy, though, so the picture may bounce around a lot and be sure not to damage the bar cosmetically. The M2 harness support rear strut bar is a beefy steel square tube unit that would surely be better than the stock one for mounting if you need something better but don't want a roll bar.

I mount my ioport racing camera mount on my rear strut bar. I wrapped the strut bar with a piece of bicycle innertube in order to protect the it. It works really great. I remove and replace the mount a lot so I replaced the nuts that came with the mount with 4 nylon wing nuts from Lowe's.
