car boosting to 15psi
I only have DP and PFC w/ base maps installed.
I've only seen it, so far, in 3rd and 5th gear. Not even WOT. why cruising and giving it maybe 3/4 throttle, I will see the boost peak and stay at 15psi. How dangerous is this? |
No good, 15 is too much for your stock ic and you also are most likely maxing out your injectors.
|
For a quick fix, just install the home depot boost controller until you purchase a better one.
|
Adjust the PFC boost settings. I would also make sure that the line from the primary turbo to the wastegate (4-5" long) is still firmly connected at both ends.

Thats alot of boost for the stockers, I would bet what was previously stated, check your vaccuum hose that runs to the wastegate. If you lose that hose you will run about 15 psi.
|
could that hose also be the problem to:
heavy throttle in first, boost switch to second 0-1psi boost switch to third 0-1psi boost ? |
Just curious, but what is the max psi is it safe to boost the stock turbo, given you have a larger front mount intercooler and big injectors?
|
dont know about safe, but i have heard of 18psi, and i know that motor is dead now.
