cant get my rebuilt engine running
 

here goes another post,,,,see if i can get any light on my subject...
i bought a JAP rx twin turbo engine was busted,,,,bad water seal------,,,,,stripped it ,,,rebuilt with new apex,,corner and side seals aswell as just about every other seal in the engine....

car wont run,,,,,runs like its running on one rotar,,,always seems to be back rotor that is running..
saying this though if i just plug in front rotor i can get it to run on that one but only for a few seconds....when i do unflooding routine it fires straight up but then starts running rough and cuts out....; sounds like it starts on both rotors then something hicups and one rotor drops..
if i then try to start again its only firing on one rotor..


ive checked the coils according to the manual...they all seem to be fine and firing ok (brand new spark plugs)

ECU diagnostic checks everything OK..

when removing the plugs they are covered in fuel so i would say there aint a problem with fuel (unless a shitty fuel filter or crap pump or pressure regulator)

my battery appears to be a bit goosed (bit old will a new battery help) ive tried a number of different ignition leads so i dont think any problems there..

compression is good in both rotors (120psi)
i hear a squeek every now and again from inlet manifold could an air leak cause these problems..

any info at all,,,from anybody will be greatly appreciated:) :)

A vacume leak could cause a simular prob,also if you installed the apex seals w/superglue you will need to cook the glue off by running the engine, if this is the case and you can't run the engine due to this take the leading spark plugs out and add 2oz of atf fluid to each rotor housing then relace the plugs and start the motor this will add compression for 5-10 min as it runs it will break the glue and run on on it's own.

How positive are you that the primary fuel injectors on the front rotor are working properly?

Place fingers, screwdriver, or stethoscope on primary front injector electrical plug and feel or listen for open/closing (sounds like tapping):

If nothing, possible that injector is grounded open - check wiring.
