Cant close my hood all the way with M2 intake Whats the trick?

I just bought a used one form a guy on the Forum and of course its used and I have no directions. I took out all the stock airbox brackets and even the wire brace for the radiator hose but I still have my hood sticking up an inch. I already cut the insulation under the hood but the hood still wont close flush. It latches but its cocked. Whats the trick to this?

Do you have an upgraded radiator? I've heard the M2 intake has issues with a Koyo radiator...

i have the m2 intake and it fits fine with the fluidyne radiator.

make sure the box is bolted down FLUSH with where it bolts up to. my hood closes fine....

Did you take out the filter elements and bolt down the CF box. There are two holes where you bolt it down to where a bracket use to go on the old intake box. That should do the trick. Also make sure you adjust it right and seat it down. The hose that runs from the AST to the reservoir might get in the way. Make sure you dont pinch it.

yeah what suganuma said...make sure the inside bottom part is flush with the chassis where it bolts down...and make sure the fin that sits against the radiator fan assembly is on the correct side or else it won't go in very far.

make sure the base is really all the way down...at most it should just graze the black heat shield stuff under the hood..

I've heard issues with the koyo & SR large radiator...but I thought was more of a IC ducting thing...........

Hey you guys are great. I was afraid I needed to bolt it down in both places. I just bolted it down hand tight on one side. Also I moved the Hose to the overflow tank so I wouldnt pinch it and I also seem to be squishing the radiator hose a bit. Is that ok? I figured it wasnt fitting cause I didnt bolt it down flush but I figured it would still fit. Thanks for the heads up.
