It's the big washer thing that goes between the flywheel and the flywheel bolts (picture attached). Can anyone let me know what they are called or let me know the part number? can't find them on atkins and mazdatrix websites... thank you.

thanks man. I've also been looking in the FSM and it's just referred as "adapter" with no p/n..

what do you think?

That's a flex-plate. Technically it's not a flywheel. And I gotta think that it was used on any number of other MAZDA models with an automatic transmission and should be available if asked for at a parts counter.

That part is only needed on an auto flex plate. I think it's just to re-inforce it since the metal is relatively thin.

You would not need that on a manual transmission car with a light flywheel. Stock flywheel doesn't have it at all since the flywheel just has one hole in the center for the E-shaft and 54mm nut.

If you did need it for an auto trans car I imagine it would be easy to find used.

I intend to use it as a spacer between the rear counterweight and the flywheel. I am using manual flywheel with automatic starter for T56 swap, and when I installed the flywheel, the back of the flywheel bind with the starter gear. I just need to space it out about 2 millimeter, and thought this would do the job.
