Can someone point me towards the EGI fuse please?
 

My car wont start and Marco suggested it may be flooded.

It turns over but wont start, and at this point I probably have flooded it.

Fuse box in the engine bay. Top one.

For a FD it is the fuse box on the drivers side shock tower 4th one down.

Also, the FD has a built-in "de-flood". With car off, floor the gas pedal, then keep it down and crank the engine. The ECU will not inject fuel and this will let you crank the engine over to clear the fuel out.

Basically does the same thing but without having to go under the hood.

No way!!! I didn't know this. I could've used this feature today. Only on the stock ecu I imagine?

Thanks guys - I asked because I wasn't sure if it would be as clearly marked as it is.


I assume the method Dale's talking about is tied in with the stock ECU, which I would guess means it's not necessarily true for those of us running a PFC.

For this reason, I pulled the fuse, turned it over a few times and then replaced the fuse and tried to start it, but no joy.


Any thoughts? What should I try next?

No it doesn't look like it. I'm going to bribe that Marco fella again.

So I know this is an super old post but I used search option...(THANK YOU, THANK YOU VERY MUCH :worship: ) on how to deal with my flooded my FD. Point is I got it figured out, what I'm curious about is what I found out about the gas pedal all the way down pretty much cutting off your EGI. I'm also curious on if it only works on stock ECU or not???

It may work on the PFC. Worth a try, if the engine is flooded already.
