Can anyone identify this?
My turbo install was going so smoothly until i found this mystery blue connector. I'm hoping one of you guys has come across this and can help me identify what this is supposed to go to. Thanks in advance! Dave

Blue connector
Much like a belly button, everone has one & no one uses it for any thing.
In other words the blue connector doesn't hook up to anything. On Cali cars it goes to the EGR valve, for every body else it just lays there. I just cut the damn thing off, never to be confused by it again! |
Thanks! Maybe i'll be able to sleep now!

Not with that Y-pipe tube open like that. One screw or piece of crap and yer turbos are toast.
|
Good point. When installing my reman turbos I didn't cover the primary intake pipe and a stud somehow managed to get in there and killed the primary turbo. On the y-pipe it would be really simple to get something in there.

That stupid connector always bothered me.
Felt like I left something off :p |
I just replaced my turbos and vacuum lines and was putting it all back together when I found that connector. I freaked out, came home and have been trying to figure it out for the last few hours! Thank God for this site and you fellas!! :D

Everyone is correct only if your car is a 5speed. If I remember correctly, that is used on auto cars.
|
thats the EGR switch connector..its used on Cali-emmisions cars...you obviously have a Federal emmssions car...nothing to worry about it
|
Damn i hate that little connector:mad: I about went nuts for about a half hour before I remembered someone saying it wasn't hooked up when I did my hoses.
|
it's kinda like that hose that's connected on one end to the airbox, but not connected to anything on the other end. :)
