calling the parts number experts

ok guys, i need to buy the green water temps sensor, behind the thermostat housing, close to the alternator.

there are two numbers in the parts fiche, in the section 6600, number 18-840C anybody know which one is the green connector and which one is the black round connector?

Also, the plastic nipple for the heater in the car, the nipple is on the rear housing, just under the oil filter, the O-ring that were in there are way too big, i can't fit them back. Anyone know where it is in the parts fiche?

thanks a lot

That should be N370-18-840 for the green connctor. You see it on page 3-I 6 of the body A fiche. There are of course THREE different temp "sensors". If I recall correctly, F202-18-840A is the thermoswitch (single connector, black body) and NF02-18-840 is actually the fuel rail temp sensor listed on page 3-H 6 of the body A fiche. The fuel sensor is similar in structure to the temp sensor you are looking for, but I don't know if it works over a different temp range, as presumably the fuel temp is less than 180F.

I think Ray at Malloy knows the differences as well, so try calling him to make sure.

The plastic nipple: do you mean the quick disconnect? Mazdatrix lists this part as 61-240A-B455 for $9.82. I can't seem to find it in the fiche, though...

Got it: Section 3-C 4, sub 61-240A, part B455-61-240A, connector, water hose

ok, then why is it written AT under the N370-18-840?

and yes, i beleive you are right about the connector, just don't know if it comes with the O-rings...

thanks a lot, you have one heck of an eye :D
