A/C problem

Ever since I got my car back from the shop after the rebuild, my a/c stoped working. It blows air but only hot air and it only comes from the floor and not from the vents. Also even when I turn the switch off, hot air still comes from the floor and gets hotter and hotter while I'm driving!!! Any ideas on what the problem might be or has anyone had this problem? And any suggestions on where to take it besides the dealer, since they will charge $500 just to look at it.
Thanks,
Erik

I had another a/c problem kind of like yours. Mine blew air, sometimes hot, but it would never ever blow cold air. So I had it checked out and apparently my compressor and evaporator was done. Something with recharching it to many times or something. Anyways $1200 later im blowing cold air. I saw evaporator and compressor on ebay for $30, grrr made me cringe. Anyways good luck.

Check the fuse. Mine was blown so it wasn't blowing cold. The problem was fixed as soon as a new 15A fuse was installed.

whoever did the rebuild on your car needs to fix this. Call them, tell them the problem. It shoulds like the harness is not completly connected.

They changed owners and changed the name of the company. Also they fired the mechanic that was working on my car so they don't think they are responsible. F#cking sucks!!!
