budget intake
Can I simply get two K+N filters and a set of intake piping, remove my stock intake and fashion an intake system?
Or do the filters need mounting hardware? What to do with the two smaller tubes that run to the airbox? (one from y-pipe, one from ?) Any downsides as compared to Apexi or Blitz intakes, for example? |

If you want a budget intake, consider modifying your stock airbox.

Test is full of crap... |
Excellent info, thanks guys.
But my real question is if I can fabricate a reasonable intake system from two K&N filters and an intake pipe set (like http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2468355365)? Or is there more required? What of the other hoses that go to the stock airbox? Seems like it would be significantly cheaper than Apexi yet offer reasonable performance. Does K&N offer a complete intake system? |
I just posted this: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hreadid=285483
I did the whole thing for around $100. Thats with hard pipes and a heat shield. |
