trini 07-22-05 10:11 AM

congrats. good luck with the car. .. and whateva you do do not take it to T&R racing in queens. . they will rip you and your car will come back with a dent and paint fumes. if you can work on it your self. do so. or i know a guy in Elmont. he is not cheap but he will take care of your car. he runs a clean shop. hit me back if you need any info.

cabaynes 07-22-05 02:23 PM

I'm not sure if you are aware, but all 1993-1995 RX7's are twin turbo. Not trying to be a dick, but just the way you typed it I wasn't sure if you were aware of that :)

anyway, nice car! keep it clean :)

fastcarfreak 07-22-05 02:31 PM

Good luck with it man. Do lots of research through the archives on it. You will be thankful you did. Trust us. Before asking a question try searching the topic first to see if you can get your question answered. Welcome aboard and enjoy the car. OH and be careful.

i like it alot, so much better then a 96 na eclipse lol, but yea the trip home was fun, car is in great condition, everythings stock, cept that i put a head unit so i can listen to cds, the engine was rebuilt for the seals already, cause he was gonna fix it all up for is wife but he had a baby, so he has to sell 1 of his 3 lol. and when he re did the engine he replaces the hoses with silicone hoses

anyways i picked it up for 15K, i think that was pretty good, for having 62K orginal miles

and yea goodbye money lol, my ins. went so high.... but o well, and the gas here for that is 2.60 a gallon ....

just to be safe, was there anything stock i should replace so nothing goes wrong?

thanks, mike

Welcome! Make sure to fully read and understand this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=68640 There is information in there that will answer nearly every question you have! Good luck and enjoy.

jeff p 07-26-05 01:37 AM

Congrats on your new money pit (LOL) Nice car . keep it close to stock and have fun with it. read up and ask questions before upgrading anything.

Spirit_Rotary_7 07-26-05 01:47 AM

In addition, you should try and purchase a shop manual for the FD (hard to find but completely worth it). You can check http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/shop_manual.html for a .pdf version. If you read up on both the FAQ section and the shop manual, you will be a rotary guru in no time!

Modifications should come slowly but surely. :)

manny34711 07-26-05 01:50 AM

read the newbie section of this forum. also check out www.robrobinette.com for reliability mod info. have fun with the car but dont rice it. mahjik and rynberg are your best friends in this forum

Plastic AST & downpipe would be a good start

jeff p 07-26-05 11:15 AM

Pettit AST and Hks down pipe with a Fluidyne Radiator and the FC fan switch mod would do a lot of good for starters. and yes as spirit rotary 7 said a shop manual.

POS7 07-26-05 11:29 AM

*ok that was a typo, I meant replacing the plastic AST with a metal one

SIK 07-26-05 07:45 PM

thanks for the info guys, ill keep reading about all if it

and no worries it wont be riced out lol
