Broke turbo stud for Y-pipe

I was tightning it, and didnt seem to get tight, so i continued until one of the stud/bolts broke. What can i do about this? Does it come out, and if i do where can i get a replacement stud.

Also, where do they sell the gasket for the turbo/y-pipe?

I think you can get another stud. Look up the p/n in the parts list (linked in the sticky thread about technical downloads)

This time don't overtighten it. Get a small torque wrench and use it until you get a feel for how much torque one of those small nuts actually needs. You probably applied 5x more than necessary to break it.

Dealer again. Cheapest dealer is malloy mazda; contact info is in the FAQ.

I did the same thing a few years ago... I even broke an EZ out off in it trying to get it out... I ended up having to take the turbos off and to a machine shop to have them take it out, then tap a bigger hole, now I use a bolt in that one. My advice is to be as carefull as possible because it can turn into a nightmare.

What way do you recomend me to taked the stud out?

I honestly could not tell you, I broke the EZ out off in the stud, and that was too hard to drill through with anything that I had. Hopefully someone who has been successful will chime in.

can you see any of the stud? stud puller...sears or any craftsman dealer
if not you will have to take it to a welder, they can weld something to the stud and turn it out with heat??
but im not sure what ill effects it could cause.
maybe mechine it out but i hate having diff nuts and bolts.:wallbash::wallbash:

if i take out the y-pipe, a good piece sticks out. Can it screw out? I oredered the stud from the dealer and it looks like its threaded on both sides.

yes.
get a stud puller and unscrew it.
