broke rear tranny mounts on motor

i was putting my tranny back on my motor and as i was tighting them they snaped off the rear rotor housing mounts any suggestions

There are no rear tranny mounts on the engine.

There are two engine mounts that attach to the rear rotor housing. Each is held on by 3 bolts to the housing and 1 nut to the subframe.

Try again in ENGLISH to describe what you hosed.

I think he means the cast Iron casting that has the threads for the bellhousing bolts....If so i can't think of any way to repair other than replacing the rear plate( rear cast iron plate) I guess you could weld it but the extreme heat it takes to weld cast iron would probably melt the O-rings and/or warp the housings all together rendering them useless. Is that what happened overrev?

bingo u got it, i guess thats wut i get for using air tools and not my head

My mechanic was given this problem by a customer . He welded the broken part, tab.ear, back on with a nicad rod . The engine was installed and was good to go . No problem to the water seals from the heat ,he did something to protect from heat damage . The engine was together when the repair was done .

Has the piece or ear broken off yet? Overrev... Try giving Garfinkle a call if Duboisr will hook you up with a #...Ask him about what he used to weld( I know she said Nicad rod) But ask anyways how he protected against heat. Thanks Duboisr for telling about the similar problem, I never heard this happen before. ..

Man overev, you must have had a HUGE impact gun to snapoff those ears!!!!:D ;)
