if you bridge port I believe the boost will escape because of tomuch over lap . and thus not being very effective under boost .

large street ports would be your best bet . I think

Thats what the guy said thats building the motor for me was a street port so i didnt have to have a tune done but i love the sound of a bridge

how old was the motor before having it rebuilt? Why did you have to rebuild it?

Stick to street port.

A half bridge is hard to tune between idle and about 4000 rpm and drive in traffic.
A full bridge is worse.

Those are meant for the track, not the street.

You need to find someone whose a better builder/tuner.

I'm running a full bridge FD that I daily drive (5 out of the 7 days of the week) and put about 300-400 miles a week on it.

The idle is really nice at 1600 RPM's, it has made 703RWHP on Steve Kans mustang dyno at 23psi @ 10,500 RPM's on E85 and put down 810 RWHP on a dyno jet at the same boost.

Over 6000 miles on it with zero issues. Swapping out the Borg Warner 76mm for a billet Borg Warner 80mm, going for 1000 RWHP on E85.

Oh it has stock A/C, power steering, etc.

You also can not expect to go cheap and then wonder why your POS doesn't work.

Here are some videos of it on the dyno at PRT performance (Steve Kans shop here in Lewisville, TX)

bridges are for the sound aspect. they don't really make much more peak power than a streetport does or even much more than stock ports.

once boost begins to build they do ramp up the quickest versus street ports/stock ports to get you to full boost quicker.

but fuel mileage will take a huge hit and city drivability will always suffer no matter how well you tune it.

these days i don't even push porting, the differences between all ports and stock ports are very minimal but can have some rather dramatic negatives. street ports are the most common and even a large street port will not exactly "wake an engine up". get a bigger/better turbo if you want more power and put that porting money towards it.

it all depends on your perspective, not everyone wants to stop at a gas station every few blocks, nor have the"herky jerkies" while trying to get between stoplights.

people have made almost 800whp on stock ports, the bridge does give you a little more breathing room. but how many people would even use a 400+whp street driven car? very few.

Im running halfbridge on e85 as well and lets just say Im never going back to a streetport.... Im spinning tires all the way to 4th gear. Alot of timming with e85..

Im just going to say it all depends on whos doing the bridgeport, and if they dont know about port timming dont let them port it at all.
