Break Light On

Does anyone have the 'break light' staying on? A few weeks ago, my break light (from the hand break) goes on once a while when I accelerate and then turns off, but now it is on all the time. How do I fix this problem? 'Cause that bright red light irritates the hell out of me. Here's my CYM: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2169275

Remove the plastic center console and brake handle boot, underneath you will see the parking brake light switch. Just fiddle with it a little so that it makes contact with the parking brake when it is fully released... that or just unplug it.

I thought the break light was just a detection for the hand break. Does the light also detects break fluid and other break system?

The light stays on all the time now. Do you think it's brake fluid still?

I will check it first thing in the morning. My car is in another location for storage. Thanks for the spelling correction. That was stupid of me :pat:

Usually the light coming on during acceleration means the brake fluid is getting low.....
However,
the fluid getting low is a sign that the pads are getting low on the front or rear.
Assuming that the last time you had the brakes done, the fluid was topped off, you dont want to just add fluid, you wanna replace the pads. Once the pistons in the calipers are squeezed back in, the fluid should be right at the top again, assuming your not leaking fluid anywhere. :)
