I have slotted rotors and they work perfectly! plus i never have to worry about them cracking like drilled rotors. Although the drilled stay cooler during high-speed braking.

What is your intent for the car?

Jason 07-24-07 03:05 PM

If its a street car then drilled are fine.

i just want it for street.

if u get drilled...get quality drilled because anything else will develope little cracks that stem from the drill holes.

I had drilled/slotted all around on the car untill the front started cracking and giving me problems. The rears had no cracking , probably because the fronts do most of the work. I ended up getting just slotted replacements for the fronts and havent had a problem since.

+1 for slotted

slotted, from experience on my s13

FD3S2005 07-26-07 07:12 PM

where is a good place to get decent slotted ones?

Sgtblue 07-26-07 08:11 PM

This thread really belongs in the suspension/wheels/tires/brakes section. But FWIW.....

dont get them from ebay because i supposodly bought some brembo ones but they always made loud squeeking noises even with new pads, so i just picked up some power slots and theyre pretty dank

Gotham Racing has some very affordable drilled or slotted or drilled and slotted rotors. You can chose which you want.

Open slots are the way to go, check out racingbrake.com, they have a vendor forum here.
