Brake Q's Help please Cost c-west Nose
Ok this brake thing has really been going down hill. When I first recived the car the brakes didnt feel quite right. So I put new pads and rotors on it. And also beld the system. They were ok but not great. They stoped hard enough that if pressed hard enogh I could lock the front running about 50. I have no abs. The controller is still there but refuses to work. But I was having a real hard time modulating the brakes they were grabby sometime and other times there wasnt enough there to stop it. I mean like having to put so much pedal pressure on the sytem that im pulling down on my steering wheel. So a couple days ago im going down a street by my house marked 50 im running 60 ish. Light turn red the jeep infront of me stops and I cant I knew from at least 60 yards away I couldnt stop and was going to hit him. I got out stoped by a jeep. Somethings screwed up.So now I have a crushed c-west bumper and craked scoot hood. On the way home luckly no major damage to anything but bodywork. I do a shit do my brakes even work test. Running 20 mph i stomp the pedal as hard as I can. no lock up nothing.its a hard stop but my 5000 pound Xterra stops about as hard. So the question is what do I do now. Im thinking a new master cylander. Should I keep it stock or upgrade to something bigger. Or is this even the problem. Also how can I tell if the brake recall has been done. Also what about mabe a brake booster? I dont know Im at a major loss on what to do now. If anyone can help please do. I would greatly appricate it. Thak you all
