Brake pedal part

So my FD has its brake lights on non stop, even with key out of the ignition. I noticed that this part was laying on my floor mat under the pedals. Looks like some type of Plug that pushes in on the plunger/acuator for the brake lights. Mine must’ve just dry rotted / deteriorated.
Should i try the Mazda dealer to try and get the part? Is there somewhere you all know where i can order it? Or should i just fabricate something to put in the hole?
i searched for past threads and didn’t see anything on this topic.
thanks for the help.

Don't think Mazda sells it anymore. Look up part # 46584-S0100. If I remember correctly its a Nissan part number but works in this application.

Or you can use a nut and bolt. The rubber one from the miata is also interchangeable

B001-43-029 is the miata number i think

I also purchased a couple B001-43-029 as I think it will fit. If not they are 2 bucks online

I had the same issue a few weeks ago. I purchased a rubber "cushion/pad" that is used as anti-slip for furniture ect and just stuck it to the frame section. You can get them at most hardware stores.

All working 100% now. Quick and easy fix. (and very cheap)
