is these wilwood rotors will fit 99' caliper ?

assuming that wilwood rotors are little smaller (12.19 inch) than oem 99' rotor

SPECS

WIL-160-3871 Wilwood 160-3871 Rotor-HD48 Vented Iron-LH 12.19 x 1.25 - 8 on 7.00

I am new to FDs but in my previous interests a smaller diameter rotor can be used...I would not recommend it because the pad hangs off the back and wears weird, may break off chunks cause localized heating etc. I assume the widths are the same??? If the Non OEM rotor is a bit thinner you can get away with it but why?

Brakes are all about the heat sink capability. The thicker (and bigger) the rotor thte more heat it can hold an the longer it will resist fade etc.

Of course looks may be an issue, not for me though.

Why not just order the 99 rotors? are the Wilwoods cheaper?

WILWOOD ROTORS ARE TWO PIECES ( rotor+ HAT= lighter than oem 99 ROTORS)

I know, I think you should get OEM quality fitment or your performance may suffer. If you are heavily tracking get the full Wilwood system, if not a pound or two per corner not a big difference but drive-ability may suffer.

Contact Coleman Machine (1-800-221-1851). They can do custom brake rotors for cheap. Great quality as well.
