BOV spring rate question?

Hey guys so i have a 1992 FD with a single turbo and large street port. I have a Tial Q 50mm BOV, at idle I'm getting a surge in RPMs and the BOV opens and closes. I took it to a Rotary shop here in Japan and he said maybe it was to soft of a spring and i should try to swap it. My question is would that do it? What spring rate should the FD with my mods have installed? :scratch:Im not sure whats installed now i have to check it in the AM.

I dont think it should surge at idle. At idle the bov doesnt matter. It could sound like air leaking, if its busted.

What amount of vacuum is the engine producing at idle?
