BOV question....

Hi,

I originally connected my HKS SSQV Bov up the normal way, by removing the stock bov which connects to one of the induction kits. Blocking it off induction kit side and connecting the HKS one there and the vac line to where the stock bov was connected.

I now have a IC with a flange for a bov on it. If I connect my bov there, can I just reconnect the pipe that the bov was attached to to the air filter again, without the stock BOV in place where it was? (reason I'm asking is because I've thrown that out! ... lol).

If I do have to replace the stock bov also, then where do I get the vac line for the HKS one, as the stock one will be using it.

Hope someone can clear this up for me! If there's anything that didn't make sense, let me know.

Appreciated!

You don't want to recirc the hose to the intake without something inbetween cuz then you're going to have a boost leak. All your boost will go right to your airbox rather than thru your pipes. I just capped off the perch on the Y-Pipe that the factory bov hose connects to and ran a new vac line over to my HKS on the other side of the engine.

Yes, cap the y-pipe outlet and the hole left on the stock intake box. Run the vac line that went to the stock BOV to the new one.

Ah... just cap the Y-pipe end and the filter end?

That's nice and easy then.

:)
