bose system acting up after rebuild

ok here it goes:

just got my car back from being rebuilt.

tried playing some music, but it seems like
my stock bose system lost a lot of bass.

is this a common problem after a rebuild?
what wires or fuses should i check?

I'm going thru the same sort of thing at the moment - my Acoustic Wave snake is dismantled on my kitchen floor awaiting surgery. First off, I'd check the obvious like is the connector connected. You can find this if you roll the rear carpet back and expose the spare tire. Without it being in front of me, I can't remember exactly where the connector is, but it should be pretty obvious with a flashlight and/or a bit of feeling around. If it is connected, then it could be that your rear amps are blown in which case you'll need to fix them yourself or send them away for repair. Do a search on the forums, there's quite a bit of information on this. I've chosen to get replacement units direct from Bose, and yes - they still sell them even after 15 years; give them a call on 1-800-231-2673. Good luck...
