Borla XR1 High Flow Cat?
So in looking around for exhaust, I found where someone claims to run the Racing Beat Dual Tip with the Borla XR1 high flow cat. I've looked all over and I see lots of Borla cat backs but no where can I locate an XR1 HF cat.
Does anyone have any idea for sure what this car is running? See the Racing Beat sound clips at the bottom where it lists that its running with the XR1 HF Cat. http://www.wrex-racing.com/web/fd/exhaust.htm I'm loving the sound of that setup whatever it is. I keep thinking maybe he's welded the xr1 muffler into a midpipe but maybe it is legit and there is a HF cat that I am missing. Thanks! |
XR-1 are mufflers not HF cats I believe

The Borla XR-1 is a resonator, not a high flow cat. I have it and I love it, barely any louder than the stock cat and you get all the performance of a straight midpipe setup. :icon_tup:

The question is which XR1 is best there's a few different ones.

The Borla XR1 and RB dual tip in my opinion is hte best sounding combo. I love mine!

Borla XR1 is a muffler, I believe Howard Coleman runs this same muffler at the mid-pipe.
Part# is, Borla Part# 40944. Idel |
Sounds like my suspicion was correct in it being the Borla muffler. It does sound great. Thanks for the replies guys.
