Boost problems again....
I have a non-seq. setup and the car is tuned for 12 psi. I had a boost leak and was only hitting 5-7 psi. After fixing a coolant leak and putting on a new y-pipe and it barely makes it to 10 psi. I can't figure out where the problem is. The car boosts to about 8 psi at around 4.5k and climbs to around 10 psi at 7k. I'm pretty sure that all hoses and vacuum lines are clamped down correctly.
However, my boost controllor doesn't seem to be working anymore. I can turn the knob to full boost or no boost and it still does the same thing. Could a bad boost controller cause boost leak? Or maybe it is stuck on a certain setting? Is there anyway to test this at all? I have the greddy profect b boost controller if that helps at all. |

Anyone...
Also, do these pipes go anywhere. The first picture is at the back of the thottle body. The seconde picture is right behind the alternator. (I'm assuming this is the empty pipe) |

check your vacuum hoses that are related to your boost controller.

Fixed it. It turned out to be a short in one of the boost controller wires. So, I just went to radio shack and new wire, sodered the connection ends and plugged it back in. Now, it works. :)
2 weeks of headache for a simple wire...... |
