boost problem/question, need help
 

Hey how are you guys doin? I own a 93 rx-7 with the following mods: hi-flow cat,
downpipe, cat-back, intercooler and soon to be a new engine management system
once everything is working properly. Now to my problem...I was looking at
a suggested turbo troubleshooting site in an effort to diagnose my boost problem. I
noticed that it seemed like I was wasn't getting full boost from my primary
turbo. So I ran the boost test and saw that my primary was only getting
around 6 psi at WOT in 3rd gear at 35 mph then gradually climbing to about 8
psi then the secondary would kick in at the proper time. I know from a
previous trip to my local rotary shop that I have a leak near or at the
downpipe (can't exactly remember). Could this be the cause of my boost
problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

fix the leak. go from there. exhaust leaks do cause boost problems.

what boost control are you using?
