???? There is no such thing....you just have a boost leak or failed cat or other failure.

ph.. ok.. cause i was reading somewhere that it is for like when friends or valet drive your car they wont be able to just thrash it...

You can purchase an electronic boost controller to basically do that. However, the lowest setting you can achieve on a properly functioning stock turbo system is about 7 PSI.

You could unplug the wg/pc solenoids, or maybe pop the hose off the double throttle.

i have blitz turbo timer.. and its measures boost to be at .48 kpa.. which is like 6.5 or 7 ish.. ifigure i should be running alot more than that.. but i guy told me that it was 6 per turbo.. which would give my 12 psi when im pretty much stock... cant be right.. but the biggest problem is... it seems like somtimes it have trouble switching to the second stage.. i though it could have been that limitation switch thing.. i shearched the stickys and the page wouldnt come up.. i have like 2 and a half months of warranty left on the car.. i just want to know excatly whats going on with the car... so they do try and get over on me or anything..

What part of "there is no such thing" didn't you understand? You have a boost leak, unplugged solenoid, open wastegate or clogged cat. Period.

Well, that's because it's not right. ;)

The boost reading is at the manifold, not at the turbo. So, 6 PSI is at the manifold. You don't just add another 6 PSI to make it 12 PSI because of a second turbo. ;)

If you are only at ~7 PSI, you have a problem with your turbo control system. Have you had any work done on the car, like a vacuum hose job?

no.. i just got it about to weeks ago... its kinda hard to belive that my car should be faster than what it is.. so a vacuum job might do the trick???

A vacuum job may or may not help. There are MANY possible reasons as to why you might not have full boost. Full boost should be about 10 PSI. If your turbo timer is reading the correct information, then yes you are not getting full power from the car.

Most turbo timers are installed with a harness and require very little effort to install. I also didn't know that they had some that displayed boost? Are you talking about a EBC?

Check or get someone else to check your turbo related vacuum lines, thats probably where the problem lies.

I bought my Rx-7 with a massive leak at the Y pipe coupler (running 4psi), I thought the car was damn fast already, but when I found out about the leak and fixed it......wow.

I agree - that's not right. You can't add pressure - 6.5 psi is 6.5 psi. Stock is 10psi. You either have a boost leak or boost control problem.

Oh, and it doesn't sound like you should be talking to this guy anymore for help with your FD.

There is no 'limitation switch' in the turbo system except for the double-throttle. It's used to keep the driver from producing much boost until the car gets at least a little bit war. However, IMHO you should be waiting longer than that (a solid 5min of easy driving) before boosting much, or you'll shorten the life of your engine.

Get a boost gauge, plug it into your manifold, and find your boost pattern in 3rd gear. You can find more info on this in the stickys. Then post here what your results are before, at, and after 4500rpm.

I agree, if you have a warranty you'd be foolish to not have stuff worked out before it runs out.
