boost issues

It seems that my car has extreme boost lag. When i am like on WOT my car takes a little while to go to 10psi. On my friend's when he goes on wot he goes to 10 psi almost instantly. Do i have like some kind of a boost leak or is it because i am running no air pump with the stock cat that is all messed up inside?

That already restrictive stock cat is probably so clogged and/or collapsed from not running the airpump.

ok i installed my bonez hf cat and still it seems as if i am getting a tremendous amount of boost lag? How do i know if i am running non sequential. I still have the rats nest. I don't know but it is taking a long time to get to 10 psi. I think that i am getting 10 psi like at around 4k+ rpm

If you don't make 10PSI until ~4.5K rpm, it sounds like your primary isn't coming online.

That could be one of many things. I would think it's something to deal with the pre-control, though. Though, I doubt it's an exhaust restriction since it happens at LOW rpms.

I've had my share of sequential issues in the past, so I know how it may suck to try to troubleshoot one. Good luck! Also note that I live in La Jolla, so if you get really, really stuck, I work for good food.:lol2:
