Boost issue

The issue is that I sometimes will get a nice very strong boost, and at times I get not very much at all, I have no smoke or any symptoms of the twins going, and I dont trust my boost gague anymore,(getting another one) what can cause this or give me this problem...... Ive checked all hoses-n-such nothing there.......

Anyone:confused:

Is there any chance that the boost at "not very much" is at or around 7 psi?
If it is than your wastegate/pca pilled vacuum lines need to be replaced.

If it is kind of random then you should probably replace all the vacuum lines under the UIM. This can be a tedious and long project but it is worth it.

Also check to see if any of your pressurized piping is loose or disconnected.

Is there any pattern to your boost problems?

I bought the silicone hose kit and redid all the hoses and I also checked all hoses, clamps, couplers, ect. nothing seems to be out if place, as for the readings I no longer trust my boost gauge since it gives me false readings, but the feel of boost is VERY noticable, and it gives me full boost sometimes than back too nothing again:confused:

It could be your turbo control solenoid going out. It may also be a failing check valve in the vacuum job. It is hard to pinpoint without checking it all over and over again. I have had problems like this before and it was impossible to pinpoint without testing every hose one by one.

Okay Ive checked all the hoses again and check valves which I replaced for the new upgraded ones and I also check out the solenoid and it checked out good....

Took the car out and right away I got FULL boost, went to a empty back road and did 0-60 in 4.6sec. I was very happy, than I did another pull from about 60mph and got to 100 fairly quick!!! so I was done, everything PERFECT and as i go home I boosted the car a little and NOTHING @#$%:wallbash: so i drive some more and I get boost AGAIN  What the hell is going on..........

Bump.....

Still sounds like a loose/leaky vacuum line or electrical connection that is weak.
