Boost creep?

Hello ppl.

Here in Cyprus the weather changed now to cold temps and the car pulls much better but the stock boost gauge shows 100kPa which is 1bar/14psi instead of the 12psi it should be. The car is 2000 Type R and only mods i have are intakes and cat back 3". Why is that??

Get a boost controller as it should fix the creep or you can actually try to make it non-seq. I still have my seq cause I never had creep problems.

I would also check your wastegate, as I believe that is what stops creeping from happening.

Thats not techinically boost creep. Creep is when there is too much exhaust for the wastegate to vent, so more of it goes into the turbine than is supposed to, and the boost slowly builds with rpms.

You need a boost controller as northwind suggested. Cold air is denser than warm air, and opening up the exhaust and intake adds more airflow, which usually increases boost. With the denser air, that leads to higher than normal boost readings. A boost controller should fix it up for you. I'd suggets the GReddy Profec B. It's simple, works well, and is one of the cheapest electronic boost controllers available.

911 GT2 is right on the money. That's not boost creep, just elevated boost levels. Slap a Profec on there.
