boost controller question
Has anyone ran intake/mp/dp/catback and only used a boost controller to control the boost spike? If so how well does it work? I don't want to worry about swapping my ecu back due to smog in a couple of months.

You can only raise boost with a boost controller, not lower it. Overboosting is a physical/mechanical issue with wastegate proportion.

To answer your question the blitz sbc-id boost controller you can set how fast the wastegate opens thus creating the size of spike you want. But I would port the waste gate asap to prevent any boost creep or uncontrollable spiking due to cooler weather. R.K. |

It also depends what type of boost controller and brand name. My blitz sbc-id controller works like a charm. When I take it to the shop I turn off the boost controller so that they can't have too much fun.

Boost controllers are for solving boost spike issues
Porting the "waste gate" is for boost creep issues |
I agree with both montego and fritz. Just port the waste gate anyway because you will need to in the near future.
