boost controller and power fc?
my mechanic wants me to get both soon but i forgot to ask which he thinks i should get first. here are my mods:
down pipe, high flow cat, hks exhaust tip walbro fuel pump intake hard piping to the factory air box j-spec air pump(not much of a mod i dont think) double throttle actuator blocked off im limited on money so depending on which is more vital ill be getting that first. my boost is a lil over 10 which is why i dont push the car just yet. |
If you keep boost at 10 psi you will be ok with those mods. A $10 Home Depot MBC should do the job.
|
I've got a MBC and to be honest, i'm not even sure if it works haha.

Yeah I'm getting a PFC soon too but I have an EBC already. Just wondering which one do I use to control boost as I've heard the PFC can be used too via the commander?
|
no you need to get an adapter for the pfc to control boost and its not worth it because i hear it isnt that great, get a ebc its worth the money.. i got my greddy type s for around 100$ less on ebay brand new 2 years ago..
but if you are going to stay at 10 psi get a pfc first.. its great to monitor and see whats happening with the car. |
if you plan on running more than the stock psi, i'd just go with the pfc and get your fd tuned. no need for a boost controller then.
edit: oops sorry, didnt see that post^. well if hes right about the pfc then i'd suggest the same boost controller or the greddy profec b. there both easy to install and use. |
good comments fellas. yeah my mechanic got kinda sketchy when he saw i installed some mbc on my car. he said they were no good and if i cared about the motor i should do what he recommended in the first place. lol which was getting the pfc and ebc. i think i will get the pfc first. boost controller definitely but after the pfc. thnks for the help guys
