boost pills???? what's that? are you talking about a jet?

There are pills in the lines from the turbo to the wastegate and precontrol actuators. They restrict airflow to the actuators, working with the duty solenoids to set the boost where they want it from the factory. You could call them jets but most commonly they're called pills.

You shouldn't need the pills anymore. Well, I guess it depends on exactly how you have it hooked up and what kind of controller you're using, but most of the time I think the solenoid that comes with the controller essentially replaces this pill in the wastegate line. If you're leaving the precontrol line alone then you need to retain the pill, if you're doing something to it (I've seen people do a variety of things to the precontrol line and I have no idea which is really working the best) then you should probably remove the pill there too.

Most boost controllers just replace the function of the wastegate solenoid. The short line from the primary turbo to the wastegate actuator (containing one of the two pills) is replaced by the boost controller solenoid loop. The pre-control is typically left alone.
