BNR Stage 3's
 

Quick question...

If the BNR Stage 3's make our 93-95 spec turbos so much better...Do you think it would be in BNR's interest to do the same to the 99 Spec turbos? I mean is that a feasible option for someone who doesnt really want to give up a sequential setup? If the turbos are already bigger and stronger, why can't BNR do the same to them? Has anyone ever asked them? Would anyone be interested in knowing what the ysay when I ask them?

because the the BNR's are totally different. . . at this point. . . there would be no difference in 99spec "stage 3's" and pre99spec "stage 3's". . . talk to bryan at bnr for better technical information about the products he produces. hes a very nice guy. . . and wont bark or bite.

The stage 3s are completely new CHRAs, so no reason to start with 99 specs. The only advantage to starting with 99 spec's is that the turbine housing will be in better shape with less cracking. It makes more sense to find a good cheap core set to start with, b/c the 99 specs are at least 2600, so you're looking at almost 5 grand when all is said and done. it's obviously silly to spend that much cash needlessly.

You can run the BNR 3s, sequentially, Bryan can and will set them up that way for a customer.

Ok...would you send him a set of turbos as a core from your 95 RX7 with only 15K on them? Thats my debate right now...do I mess with what I have now, and buy something used to send to him off another forum member as a core.

Only reason why I brought up the 99 spec was because of the housing size...bigger housing more aggressive compressor....more air...more HP

I have a BNR stage 3 sequential in my room. I don't have time to put it in yet. Hopefully it can produce good number like GoodfellaFD3S.

The 99s won't make more power than a 93-95 setup. The compressor housings are the same, as are the CHRAs. Just abradeable seals and 'roomier' turbine housings, which may yield better results but again not worth the additional cost. Read here:

You can convert the 99 spec twins to the stage 3's. It is pretty much the same as the 93-95 versions, just a few changes. All the housings are very close to the same.
