BNR stage 3 turbos coolant lines and bolts
Hi guys,
I just received my pair of BNR stage 3 turbos and noticed that it did not come with coolant lines or the compressor side bolts. So I grabbed my coolant lines from my original twins and noticed that they did not line up at all. Does anyone have any insight on this? Were the turbo supposed to come with the coolant lines? Pretty much same thing with the bolts; turbos did not come with them and the ones on my twins are pretty much not coming out... Thanks in advance for any insight. |

Those are M6 studs, soak the ones on your existing twins with PB blast and (carefully) use a stud removal tool :)
They should've come with the coolant lines. Did you get them direct from BNR? |

Mine didn't come with any coolant lines either. I ordered new OEM ones because mine were in bad shape. I figured they could be bent/adjusted to fit, does that seem impossible?

Just double checked... bending is not going to work at all. Who did you order from? Also how long did it take for your shipment to arrive after your y-pipe was delivered. |
I ordered directly from BNR. The y pipe was in the box. Did you ship them y pipe with the turbos?

I ordered mine as well from Irp who doesn't ship them. BNR ships them. I recieved no coolant lines and had to bend the oem line I had. It worked.

How did you bend it? Have you had any issues with the bends? |

https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...9af6f30257.jpg the pipes just came in today. Threaded the bolt on the right and hand tightened. Then used a pry bar between the locking tab and the banjo fitting to massage the left into place. |
It's not hard at all to bend the lines took 10 minutes

I did a writeup with all the differences and such on BNR's. You are supposed to just use stock coolant lines and bend them. It's not as hard as it seems.
Note that there are 2 versions of the coolant lines, the N3A1 version and the N3C1/N3G1 version. The later turbine housings were revised to reduce cracking, and the earlier coolant lines hit the turbine housing on those turbos. If you can get both ends to sit flush on the holes where the banjo bolts go, you're in good shape. Dale |
