actually the car doest smoke when it's cold, only when it warms up or after i have been driving a while and then come to a stop.
any other inputs? Please

You were blowing white smoke when you blew a coolant seal, unless you were dumping more oil than coolant.
As for your problem, there are countless sources where that could be coming from. Turbos, oil seals, who knows. I wouldn't worry about it to much though, unless it gets worse. Than it might be time for a rebuild. |
Missed the part about it smoking when warm? So it doesn't smoke when you first start it but it starts smoking when it warms up? And only at idle, not under or just after boost?
mine is doing exact same thing..a little puff of oil smoke here and there..only after i have been boosting for a while..and only when i pull it out of gear..no load.. i suspect my second turbo as the primary felt and looked good.good luck w/ your search..oh yea i know its not crankcase vent. prob.. either..
It is your turbo burning oil. Trust me on this one. :) No need to worry. You prob. have plenty of life left. Just run that focker to the ground. Once it finally goes, they'll mistake you for the mosquito truck. Engine is fine though. Run it. Unless of course, you ready to drop some BNR's or go single on that mutha.
yeah, i think it's my exhaust side of my turbo seal leaking and when no load a little oil is seeping through but i really dont know if thats the prob. could tuning be an issue here?
actually it is a single. turbonetics T61
mine smokes only during idle also...is there anyway to stop it without rebuilding the turbos? This usually happens during the first ~15 min that im driving my car. If i start boosting then it usually goes away.
I agree with bad ass7. After I sucked my home made air filter into my front turbo, and destoyed the turbo oil seals, It smoked badly, but only at low RPM's. Did I say I, I meant a guy I know........
werd, I'll add to the opinion that it is the turbo/oil related.
If it's smoking on deaceleration and on idle, then it's your Engine oil seal. Happend to me.
