Blown turbos?
So today I hooked up all of my new radiator hoses and oil lines on the REW.
I took out the spark plugs and squirted some oil in the chambers because it was sitting for a while. It fired up great, idled awesome, so I let it sit for a bit to warm up and get the preasure built. I then rev'd it a few times and then decided to drive it up my lot and the reverse in to the garage. I got out and rev'd it and then POOOF smoke everywhere. It doesn't smoke while idleing, but when i rev it it smokes pretty bad. So all I could think was "damn, two bad oil seals in a row is pretty bad luck..". But my NA had a severely failed oil control ring and it only smoked on high throttle. I then decided to start it up, and it fired up and idled very smoothly but continued to smoke. So we rolled it back in the garage and then noticed a large oil spot but it was BLACK (my pan has a leak too but its nice, fresh oil in those spots). I looked under the car and right where the turbos bolt to the manifold is a large seapage of black oil. My guess is they are pooched, but can you guys verify its the turbos and not my engine? |
