Blocking factory oil thermostat

I'm finally in the process of finishing my (poor mans) dual oil cooler setup. I have 1 mocal 19-row cooler on the passenger side and the factory cooler still on the driver side. I replaced all the lines with SS AN-10, and have a mocal thermostat coming off the block.

As I'm fixing the fins on my driver's side cooler tonight I started looking at the thermostat in the factory cooler. I was trying to think of ways to remove it completely and block the by-pass passage so that all oil that goes through it gets cooled. This would make my setup act more like a dual after-market cooler kit. Anyone done this on the stock coolers? I have the mocal thermostat up stream so I don't think I need a 2nd thermostat controlling oil temps. Thoughts?

I don't think you need to bother since the factory closes the bypass earlier (140*) than your mocal unit--so the core will receive full flow anyway once everything is warmed up.

Moreover, the bypass valve also functions to limit the oil pressure across the cooler under cold and start up conditions. I'd just leave it as-is.
